The Stewards of the Earth Festival is a project of the Leslie Arts & Heritage committee and made possible in part by a grant from the Department of Arkansas Heritage, funded by your 1/8 cent conservation tax, Amendment 75.
The goal of this festival is to promote the natural heritage of our town. We are a small, rural community boarded on three sides by creeks, our connection to nature is impossible to ignore. This festival is about making people aware of this connection, and its importance to our heritage, while encourage them to ‘steward’ it for the future.
Our mission is to bring together people, craftsman, businesses, artists and children; to encourage a sense of community; and to treat our town’s connection with nature as something to embrace, not further ourselves from.
We hope everyone will enjoy this festival and take something more away from it than just a day’s worth of fun.
